I was a little worried the natural fibers might be scratchy, but the sateen cotton makes it feel surprisingly smooth against my skin. The undyed linen adds just the right amount of texture without being rough.

The texture is what sold me—the check weave feels substantial but somehow breathable, and the natural linen-cotton mix gives it a lived-in look right out of the package. It dresses up my plain duvet instantly without feeling fussy.

The check weave is even more striking in person—the contrast between the smooth sateen cotton and the linen texture is subtle but adds so much depth. It’s soft against the skin right out of the package, no stiff break-in period needed. I’ve already ordered a second one for the guest room.
